I bought a plane!!!!

Ah, no only messing, I came home from Flying for Fun 06 with a big bag of literature instead.

  The airplane that I was excited about before I  went over turned out to be a little disappointing.  It looked great, was really comfortable and had an extraordinary,  low price tag - the downside is it just didn't feel as substantial as other kit-built aircraft.   Yes, you do pay a good deal more for the more substantial machines but if I'm going to get into debt for a aeroplane, I want it to be able to take some wear and tear.

I did find a contender for my affections/wallet and I got to fly it too (I'm talking about the airplane!!).  It wasn't love at first sight but it is definitely a grower; particularly once I'd flown it and realised how easy it is to land. 

Mind you, when I saw the retractable version of the same plane I was truly smitten.  Pity that one, it's not available as a kit yet and, two, it will probably be 10 grand more.  Sigh.
