First Irish RV-7 Flies

Congrats go to Gerrry Humphreys, pilot and builder of the first fHumphreys1_lglying RV-7 in Ireland!

Gerry, a former RAF Harrier pilot, now flies for PacNet Air and farms organic cattle near Limerick.  Somehow, in the last 5 years he's also managed to find the time to build an RV-7. Read more about Gerry and his long association with aviation here.  You'll need to scroll down the page a bit.

Gerry still has the mandatory ten hours of test flying to do but I reckon it won't be long before we see his creation barrelling around Irish skies.  The  O-320 powered RV is a fast ship and Ireland is a small playground.  Happy flying Gerry, I'm sure your first flight will inspire those building Irish RV's out there to finish... and those of us that have yet to start, to do something about it!
