.... to be attached to an aeroplane that I'm buying. Actually, that's misleading. I've put a deposit on an engine to be attached to restoration project I'm buying.
Yes, I know, I know, I haven't got my licence yet. Yes, I know that there are any number of reason why this seems like a daft idea but if you get past the entirely accurate notion that you cannot justify the expense of owning an aeroplane, then there is, and I use this term loosely, a logic in what I'm doing. I may live to have those words fed back to me atop some humble pie but we only live once and I had to buy my first aeroplane sometime.
For those interested in the details: it's a rebuilt Continental 0-200 whose 4 cylinders and 100 horses should be puttering and pulling a (my) Luscombe 8e through the skies sometime next year.
